Man, is really reaching here lol ... the only reason anyone signs up for Prime is to get their packages quickly. I can see why they'd try though, I'm sure they lose a lot of money on shipping.
^ shipping cost already factor in the price and they get discount rate from shipper. purposely hold your order few days prior processing, if they would processing it on time you should be getting your stuff within 2-5 days. $99/yr for primate is ridiculous so they rub in the free 20+yrs old collection movies and now with access to thousand of mp3 music just to make it look interesting.
^ Exactly! I used to get items shipped within a couple of days without Prime. decided to start holding non-prime orders before shipping them out the door to get us to pay for a decent shipping speed. One expensive order that I needed to complete a central vacuum install was held eight days before it shipped and was non-cancelable because it showed in process the entire time. The order showed in stock when placed and after, but they kept changing the expected delivery time. I have had similar problems until I paid their extortion fee, so I now order everything two day shipping, even if I am in no hurry for it. If they were not great in other ways, we would have stopped shopping with them when they pulled that.
