Through August 31st, American Express is offering cardholders a one-time $20 statement credit on purchases of $20 or more made at Amazon.com.

Other offers include a $25 credit on $25+ at Costco (in-store only), $20 credit on $101+ at DollarTree.com, $50 credit on $150 at Bonobos, $10 credit on $75+ at Whole Foods and $25 credit on $250+ at Best Buy.

Log in to your American Express online account and click on "Offers For You," then click "Save Offer" to activate it. Some cardholders may not receive all offers (YMMV). Also, you generally need to be a cardholder in good standing for at least a few months to see these offers.

I don't see a single one of these specific offers in my AmEx account. I've got 11 others, ten of which from merchants I've never heard of before.

You should just be happy for the American Express discount offer for 20 lbs of cheese for $60 at Smagmalithe Cheeses...

It's almost as if Amex don't really want you to use their special offers. The only offers I have are for stores I would never shop at. Are they scanning my purchase history and avoiding useful deals?

Actually, that's kind of the point. AMEX scans your profile to first come up with a list of retailers that people fitting your profile most likely to shop at. Then it matches the list to your purchase history on the card and gives you offers to those retailers that you have not visited but someone fitting your profile would respond favorably toward. Big data at work.

I redeemed this years ago. I bet those of you who can't get it did redeem it years ago too.

I just look at my AMEX and discover great deal of a lifetime. $20 off DOLLAR TREE when you spend $101. I can't imagine spending $101 at Dollar Tree, how the shopping cart going to look.

I had this offer in my account. Used it to buy Fire TV. Side-loaded XBMC and a couple of others....works great. Oh and the $20 was taken off.

Have the DollarTree offer as some have already commented but no Amazon offer.

I do, however, have a Wine.com offer of $30 OFF $100! Guess can sip the wine while lamenting over the Amazon omission.

For those that can get the deal, it might be a good time to acquire some Bitcoin. See https://purse.io/?_r=EC3EOq to find out how.

No Amazon or Costco in either my 2 AMEX cards.... Funny how my non-costco Amex has more offers but neither have any of the ones in Ben's notice box...
Have to agree that they are avoiding giving you anything you can use if you shop there regularly. Sad

I got the Costco credit offer last month, but I had to link my phone number to my Amex account before that offered showed up.
