    Makes you wonder about the quality, when an already cheap set of pots & pans goes on sale even cheaper! Rolling Eyes

    Yeah, buyers should like the taste of teflon, as it will be in their food pretty soon after they start using these. The best imo are the mineral coated "green pans" that you can get at Tar get. They work very well cooking, clean easily, and the nonstick is not petro based.

    I went through so many teflon pans over the years....now I'm starting to appreciate cast iron cookware, and I also use a carbon steel wok as well. Unlike teflon, these materials actually get better with time and usage, although they do require a minimum of maintenance. Never tried the "green pans"...

    I used to go through nonstick pretty quickly too, but the tech seems to have gotten better in recent years. A few years back I got a Farberware set off one of Ben's deals and figured it would be short lived stuff due to the price but it has held up pretty well.

    I don't do anything special to it, just avoid metal utensils and don't overheat it (no leaving burner on highest setting or heating it while empty). In rare cases where oil overheats to the point that it hardens on the surface I clean it with a scotch brite non-scratch (blue) scrub sponge.

    Guy Fieri tho'... never heard of him.
