    Transfer speed of more like 80mb a second. The old needle drive isn't going to do 5gbits. Heck even the fastest internal revodrive SSD drives only hit about 1.5gbit. Advertising scam.

    Max transfer speed refers to the DRAM cache. Misleading yes but there is some rationality behind the claim. Not really worth considering though, since nobody buys a mechanical HDD for max performance in this era of SSD.

    Have you seen the price of a 4TB SSD lately #8? These will be around for a long time to come as storage and for large media. There's no reason to clog up SSDs with stuff like photos and video files.
