    Bright enough for night lights.

That's the problem with the current high efficiency light bulbs. Don't think we were really ready to do away with incandescent bulbs.

I disagree. I found LED spot lights at Costco for $14 each which I used to replace 60W bulbs in my inset lights. The LEDs are brighter. They dont act as small heaters but that does come at a cost you know.

I'm still mixed. LEDs are really expensive still, but I've switched to them for the most used lights in my house. I've had crappy luck with a lot of CCFL bulbs not lasting very long. However, the old 60W and 75W bulbs that are in my porch lights keep turning on.

I like my incandescents because I can keep my room temprature a few degrees cooler in winter The bulb makes a little hot spot where I sit and keeps me warm. That saves on home heating bills.

In summer I don't need the light because it is light outside untill 9:00 PM or so.

They also have CFL'd spot lights for about 1 buck each 60W eq, I have many installed and they work fine. Only issue is they take about one minute to warm up and get bright.
