Be advised the reviews on Amazon are for the 2000 Mah version.
    These are 800 Mah.
Would not purchase these for camera or a high load application.

Should be good for my computer mouse though. In for a set.

the reviews for the 2000 mah AA and 800 AAA in black are combined (as amazon considers them the same product, but different "styles"). the individual reviews are marked at the top with "style name" to clarify which style is being specifically reviewed.

I did not see any reviews that mixed up these older black nimh batteries with the newer white nimh amazon basics batteries. both AAs are ~2000 mah, but these black AAs are closer to 2000-2200 mah, while the newer white ones are 2200-2400 mah (though advertised as "2000 mah").

well, it was originally for both the black AA and AAA, but it appears the AA are sold out (and amazon now redirects to the higher $/battery 16 pack). i even had the original 4xAA@$5 page open and just now reloaded it and i was redirected to the 16 pack.

The AAA works great for kid toys, and they burn through these, Sony, and Sanyo at pretty much the same rate. Will take some time to determine if they can be charged as many times.

The black ones seem to not be Eneloops, not made in Japan so they are not top shelf but still a good deal for the price. Mainly they would self discharge a bit faster.

People don't skimp on rechargeable batteries. It's important to have a reliable and plentiful supply of power. The best buy of the past 3 years has been "Power 2000" on Amazon. I used it for a while and these are God batteries. Charge fast, have more capacity than most. Didn't have a chance to gauge longevity. Second best is the discontinued Rayovac IC3, the 15 min charge system. Still have plenty and they go strong.
