Maybe I'm misunderstanding but that $60 rebate is only good on the Total Defense Premium Internet Security. So you're overpaying for the flash drive and getting a product you probably don't want.

Looks like you have to activate the software before they will pay the rebate. Scary!

Yet another great use of VMWare. Spin up a fast VM, register product for free $15 dollars. Profit.

Yeah, and activation entails giving the software your credit card and activating a monthly subscription fee.

I think I'll pass on this "rebate" shenanigan.

Looks like Newegg has been bought by Tiger Direct.

@mikegrmi - You beat me to it! This is where Amazon got "subscribe and save' from.

Yeah they had the same deal on Roku box two days ago. I would rather pay more than deal with a potential rebate and then a deactivation for a product i dont want and has a poor rating.

    1. It's a MIR.
    2. It's a cash card.
    3. It requires a co-purchase of unwanted software.

    I think I'll pass.

Not too thrilled about this software combo. The fact that they're trying to push it to sell other stuff cheap makes me wonder about the reliability of the company. As for the flash drives, my 16gb Adata works fine, although it is a bit slow. It also had that issue of not being recognizable with an XBOX 360.
