In the Houston area all stations are on the UHF band except KUHT, KHOU, KTRK and KDHU-LD, which are in the VHF band.
Problem is that KUHT is PBS, KHOU is CBS and KTRK is ABC, which only leaves NBC and FOX. This has been an ongoing problem since the DTV transition in 2009. Apparently many stations had to switch to VHF since the UHF channels available in the area were not desirable / in the 'core' spectrum.
