The prices on ASUS's high end routers have really seemed to drop in the last 3 months. Kind of sad that I picked a lesser model up not too long ago.

I am not sure about refurbished one, but AC87U is pretty solid and great price.

Never had much luck with refurbished routers/cable modems. They usually worked OK for a little while but started flaking out after a few weeks to couple of months.
