Download page advises that this is an extension of the Trial Version, and that there is no difference between this and the real license. I installed it on my boyfriend's Mom's Venue Pro 8 w/Win 8.1, and it seems to work well. It shows a 374-day trial on the interface. Web pages load well with some lag but tolerable. She previously had an internet security suite from another well-known company that had good reviews but slowed the tablet down to a crawl and rendered it pretty much useless. This seems to work well as far as not affecting system performance too much so we'll see...
Site mentions this is for new AVG users. If you've recently had AVG then may get less then a year license remaining notice. For Windows. I may hv to check this deal out...
I never ever heard of AVG until today. I installed and scanned on my newly built PC. After I rebooted my computer, the program showed I have 30 days of free trail. Another thing I found out is that the firewall feature in the program is disabled. If you want to enable to use their firewall, you have to pay $46 to buy the software which include the firewall What's a joke!!!
FYI we had a deal a while back for a 4 year license, though the text on that page read the same as this for 365 days, but on that deal you didn't get to download the entire installation program, just a 4MB downloader app.
