The memory is not supported in this mobo; we bought one, and newegg said 'read the fine print' - combo parts are NOT guaranteed to be compatible.
Corsair Vengeance memory is not compatible, either, btw, grr.

If I'd known I was going back to the mid-nineties with the memory-roulette deal, I would not have bought it.

^ What exactly do you mean by "not supported"? Does the board not POST at all with that memory so you can't adjust the memory settings, or that it isn't on a Biostar officially supported memory list? The memory controller is in the processor now, unless this board has a bios bug it should equally support any memory that other FM2 boards (CPUs) support.

It could easily have a bios bug though, in my experience Biostar usually has worse than top-tier mfg. quality control in both hardware and bios for their boards... and yet, in a bundle like this they're still a good deal. If. It. Works.

#3 True.. Not all DDR3 memory works in every motherboard. After reading all reviews, None say the FREE memory do not support this motherboard. I find it strange?. Can it possible be a defect in memory?? Thanks for the warning.. I don't intent to refund 5 motherboard + memory.. Good thing that I have over 10 desktop that I can test these memory with.If it only support one of my many desktop, then I know these memory works.. Not going to find deals like this for a very long time. Its a keeper for me..

    ucansee,
Thanks for your advise with Athlon II X4 640 and Biostar A960D+
    (mobo was $62+7, not $67)
I bought them; hope they are compatible with the memory included.

CONS: no USB3, no SATA3, no HDMI; only 4 SATA2,
PROS: but it looks like a reliable set for a very reasonable money.

    So thanks again.
