They weren't THAT bad... a friend of mine bought one that was a good 15+ years old, then the rear leaf springs broke, so he decided to use $50 air shocks as the new rear suspension, then winced when anyone over 200 lbs wanted a ride. :lol:
I had a friend who had a little fender bender with his AMC. It ended up breaking the housing for the front lights. Didn't have any money to fix it so he cut some fence material into the front grill and then tied the lights on it. We ended up calling the car "chicken coup".
