    Really? I took C programming in 1993 as a required class and at that time it was already considered an old language.

    I'll soon be dusting off my Cobol and Fortran programming books to refresh my memory, so I can be up to date in programming languages.

    Many things are still written in C, such as the compilers and interpreters for those other languages you use. Generally these days, if you're coding in C, you're probably doing it for some actual computer science.
