Do NOT order this. This hose developed permanent kinks after being rolled straight and carefully after its first use.

Mine had no such problems and I'm happy to use it every day, now till the cold of winter when it gets too stiff so I switch to using a rubber hose.

IMO it's the best hose value out there.

^Did you use a reel? I do, and it's been a problem since new.

^ Last year and currently I have it on a Suncast plastic hose reel like this:
    http://www.wayfair.com/Suncast-Hosehandler-Wall-Mount-Hose-Reel-CPLTWM2000-XA1007.html

I reel it back in with water pressure still present, with a shut-off nozzle on the end. Could that be the difference?

In a couple weeks it will be warm enough and my plants large enough that I unreel it and use it off the reel until late fall.

I did hit one snag with it today. I mean that I had both a 50' Craftsman rubber hose and this one on the above hose reel and it stuck out too far and got stuck on the brick wall behind the reel. Instead of finessing it free I tugged on it and took a little BB sized chunk out of the hose.

It wasn't deep enough to leak but next year I either won't put both hoses on the reel or will put a sheet of aluminum behind the reel so there isn't an abrasive brick surface for it to get caught on... probably the former because both together is a lot of weight on a cheap plastic hose reel, but for the time being the extra length helped me spread weed killer.

I do that as well. I wasn't going to return it, but now I think I am. Maybe I just got a dud. What I do now is actually use two Suncast reels. I simply put quick releases on both and I just attach them together when I need the extra length.
