Has AT&T replaced all of their tiny phone lines with optical ones yet?
They are not even optical. It is Fiber to the curve and then copper to your house.
It's even worse than that, #2...after listening to the guy go on and on about fiber optic, I asked about the last 300 feet or so from the pole to my house. He looks at his little map, and informs me that it goes from fiber optic to coax (pole to junction box) to twisted pair (junction box innards) to coax (box to my house) to partial coax/partial twisted pair within my home. HUH??
I still tried them for 6 months, but I'm going back to dancing with the devil (Comcast) who is running an $89.99 special now for returning customers, and throwing in HBO and Starz. I had pixilation issues with AT&T every month or so...
I have been using U-verse for about a year and am pleased with the service. The DVR is good and the channel selection (in Memphis) is better than Comcast.
This would scratch the itch on my balls if they ever rollout this POS throughout SF instead of having it in 2 funny man out of the way locations. What a bunch of morons that run att from the techs to the head, like the dipshit de la vega over in mobility. burp att!
I went from Charter to ATT Uverse. I LOVE ATT compared to every other cable co I've ever had. The $300 I got from them is nice too. Diff'rent strokes, I guess...
