I haven't used these particular ones but this does save a lot of time. Much better idea to use these instead of trying to run cat5/6 across the house.

I have 300 mbps ones and they work. Some of the newer ones you can use more than 1 pair which is VERY nice.

Powerline adapters are great. You can plug the one into the router and then plug others all over the house. They don't have to be the same brand even. I have them in 5 rooms because my WDTV live boxes have trouble streaming the videos over the wireless connection but have no problem with the powerline adapters. I do question whether you can actually get 600 mbps.

I also really like the powerline adapters. I, however, don't think this particular deal is worth it. An MIR for a negligible amount off the purchase price is just an annoyance.

I'd rather go for the AV500s from TP-link with just as many good reviews at half the price. Yeah, slightly slower but you'll have 20 green paper reasons to make you feel better. http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-PA4010KIT-Powerline-Adapter-Starter/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=pd_cp_pbacon

Throughput could be lousy at times. I have a different model with an outlet on the face of the adapter. I would just get something cheaper without any outlets in the future. The ping times were horrid but if you use it for just downloading then it's fine.
