    The 8GB - 1TB model came up for me, but I really don't need the disk space for the extra $. I'm just going to put an SSD in, and all my big storage is on my NAS.

    Yeah the $299 version is a little better deal if you're good at DIY upgrades, then you can pick how to spend the addt'l money. GTX 745 is a strange bird too, marginal for gaming but overkill for most 2D uses. At least it's low power, there's something in that for being able to reuse (not have to upgrade) the OEM PSU.
