I just ordered one and will pick it up tonight. I have a generic 10" miter saw that is one of my most used tools but I have had alignment issues and the 10" blade is really limiting. Hopefully the fact that it is a DeWalt, it will be an upgrade in quality. I can't wait to put this tool to use.

^ cheap no name saw will always have issues with alignment. Mime Harbor Fright 12" slider right out the box is already had issues aligning at 0 degree. If you need critical cut go with brand name and paid a little bit more. 12" inches is great but if you going to cut a lot of wider pieces it wise to get a slider but than $$$ are also wide too.

Yeah I try to avoid anything from Harbor Freight that runs on AC power, meaning it has enough power that precision machining of the parts matters more.

Just walking around HF I usually see stuff on the racks and shelves that has defects and then I wonder, if I can see the defect so easily then why did the stock boy even put it out for sale?
