Not. The thing ECS has going for them is low price. If you can get past the poor QC, pick a known compatible memory arrangement and don't plan to o'c then the odds weigh more in your favor.
I prefer Asus or Gigabyte. You can overclock cheap boards, but if that overcock involves pushing the memory bus you may sooner lose stability and you have to either be conservative about it or calculate out what the new TDP is so you don't exceed that of the board.
I don't like to even get within 15% of the TDP of a board, as low end boards tend to have less sophisticated voltage regulation so they both produce more waste heat and need higher voltage for the same CPU speed to stay stable.
