actually, this works better than some bigger and much more expensive vacuums i've had. for $13 it's a steal. it takes a few times over the same spot on carpet, but i use it in the basement and it cleans paint-chipping concrete very nicely. worth every penny, for $13.
The key to success with a low end vac is vac often but don't leave it running long enough to get very hot... and try to avoid those that use the airstream they suck in to cool the motor since the filter system isn't 100% effective.
Had one of these before since it was free who could argue. It worked great real well cleaned perfectly more then any vacuum I've ever used before for 13 dollars I'll be ready to buy it.
