Hardly a week goes by when we don't use a pressure cooker for something. Our parents and grandparents also used them No problems. Good results. The modern units have even more safety features than the old ones and even they were pretty much fool-proof. We have a large unit of the brand shown here, among other brands.It works well, but, personally, I prefer cookers that use a simple weight to regulate pressure rather than the spring mechanisms like this one. Others would like the self-contained spring, I guess.
