"How can I do my federal taxes for free? Is there a catch?
The Free File Alliance is a public-private partnership between the IRS and participating tax preparers. Taxpayers between the ages of 17 and 50 who have an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $64,000 or less are eligible for the H&R Block FFA program."
For a limited time, filers with mortgages and itemized deductions can file for free with Block. If you have a 1040EZ, 1040A or 1040 with Schedule A - you'll pay nothing when you file online. "
