I hope they improved the configuration interface with this. So finicky. Like, say you wanted to store images on an ftp server. If you put the ftp:// part prefixing the site location it didn't work. But if you removed the ftp part it would. Problem is it just throws a generic error that doesn't explain anything at all. If you stored video footage to a hdd the footage would record for like 48 hours then inexplicably stop recording. So you had to start it up again which was a real pain. Anywhoo this is just a couple of examples. I see where they say they fixed all of the firmware issues so hopefully they have gotten better.
I have one of the other models. Works pretty good but I can't seem to be able to control how it captures images.
I use motion and sound detection to capture images. It seems to capture 6 images but when triggered the timing of the first and subsequent images is almost random
kind of a headache to set up. but once you have these up and running, they are an AMAZING security cam. I purchased one a year ago (at $79) and felt it was a good deal then. This is a SCREAMING deal. Amazing quality pics. motion sensing night vision. Log in with your phone and have a look at the cam. Great great buy.
I had one of these for a few years but the setup was hit and miss with pathetic software interface. Switched to a Y-Cam - IR code appears on your phone during app install, let the cam scan it and you're done - configures to your home wifi based on your iPhone/Android settings.
