FWIW, you can use the bluetooth controller from
Gamestop
that was listed on Bens a couple days ago for $7.97 as a game controller on these. I've verified that it worked on my
Amazon
Fire TV, and it functions perfectly.

I have not been impressed with Fire stick so far. Periods of latency watching Netflix videos is my biggest gripe. I can switch to my Chromecast and it plays smoothly. But Chromecast does not have
Amazon
Prime (yet).

Roku stick has amazon video and plays netflix fine and supports Plex for streaming local content.

I have a couple of Roku 3's and love em... Got em both as refurbs from
newegg
at a great price. Looked like new and no problems. If Sling/Dish really wanted to be a disruptor it would have gone to an alacart program where you pick and choose what you want. Still much in this package I don't care about.

Baby steps. I signed up just to support them. I'm going to try cutting the cord this month. So far I like my FireTV. Just bridge between my Roku Stick (lots of stuff but slooooooow) and the Apple TV (I like the ability to pin apps to the top but it doesn't have the variety).

Sling TV is very flawed but it's here and it's trying. I'll put up with some hiccups for a while. What I'd really like is if they got in bed with TiVo. That would make the Roamio OTA DVR much more attractive to me.

Weird, I have no issues....I even sideloaded XBMC (sorry Kodi) to the fire stick and runs it great...now its not used all the time, but haven't had any troubles with it personally.
