Don't get excited about that seven year consumer warranty. You'll see every small motor shop listed as warranty stations. Take the non-working saw in (probably carb problems) and they'll say leave it with a $40 deposit. You'll say, but it's got a full warranty and you're a listed warranty station. They'll say, So?

Then one of two things will happen. The piston will be scored, you'll be blamed for not putting oil in the 2-stroke mixture, even though the real problem is a too-lean factory setting to get it past CARB.

Or, it'll need a new carb, gaskets and hoses plus labor. Total cost? $200. You say- what about the warranty? They'll say- that IS the warranty price.

When the time comes that it needs a carb cleaning and rebuilt, that's usually a couple bucks for the carb cleaner and $10 for the gasket/o-ring/diaphragm set. Maybe you'll need the hoses or primer bulb but it usually takes a few years before that point, especially if you store it completely drained of gas in the off season so it isn't eating away at the hoses all year 'round... and don't let women with long fingernails get near the primer bulb and it will last longer.

I got this from Woot about a year ago for $79. This is a total POS and is not even worth $25. Check the reviews on Amazon

Consider checking out VM Innovations for a refurbished Husqavarna chain saw. Yes the warranty is shorter probably 90 days but as the the thread above shows most warranties are worthless. I have gotten a number of Husqavarna products from them, chainsaw, leaf blower, line trimmer, and only one of them looked used and all have performed well. Poulan and Husqavarna are the same company so parts and service should be easy to come by if needed.

18" bar means you have to let zombies get up close and personal to be effective. Get this with a 59" bar instead: http://www.stihlusa.com/products/chain-saws/professional-saws/ms880/
