Most old washers are pretty easy to repair yourself. Ours, a Whirlpool, is almost 50 years old and still functions very well. In my opinion, none today, with the possible exception of Speed Queen direct drives, are built nearly as well as the old machines. If you can keep your old one going, you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.

Agree. Not a feature rich washer but for $249 it will get the job done on a budget!
