In our neverending efforts to improve Ben's Bargains, we know that great deals are what really drive your interest. To that end, we’re working on numerous changes to make your deal browsing experience as fluid as possible and to make it easier for you to see only the deals that interest you.

We pose this question to you all: do you prefer to look at the Hottest deals or the Newest deals by default?

To clarify for those who don’t know: our Hotness Meter is simply a measure of what deals are most popular amongst all of you at any given time. It’s affected by things like clicks and social media shares.

Include support for your answer if you can, and thanks for being such a great community!

Newest Deals first by default works best for me, as I check this site multiple times a day.

    Definitely Newest first.

Deals have a time factor attached to them. I want to see the newest deals and pick out the best for my own needs before they expire. Hottest first might be interesting to look at once in a while, but it isn't nearly as relevant to the baconhunting experience.

I checked from mobile the other day, and got hottest-first. That was useful, as my reason for checking the site from my phone (while in-store) was to check the details of a popular deal.

On my desktop, I prefer newest-first.

If it's changeable and rememberable per-user, it doesn't matter what the default is!

Newest first. What determines "Hottest" anyway? The criteria can be subjective.

Newest, and leave Walmart off altogether since they are always OOS on any deal more than a few minutes old.

Newest, also do you have a glossary page about some of the icons, ie the P coin icon, can't figure what that one meant.

I'm reviewing the site through the day, so "newest" is my preference. Hate having to remember to change my preferences back to newest whenver I clean my browser(s). I always include expired deals, so "hottest" is often a waste of time for me.

Newest....Hottest is like keeping up with the Prom bacon or Highschool Cheerleader....No one cares who is most popular....and it changes based on some arbitrary ruling, trend, feelings or emotion.
Chronological order was invented for a reason. Stick with it.
