The tire tread looks kind of minimalistic for self propulsion.

I have a similar Husqvarna with a Honda motor that is excellent. As far as the frame, and drive train, it is a great mower, but I don't know anything about Kohler motors though.

^ Most of the smaller Kohlers like you find on walk behind mowers are made in China now with lower quality plastic and rubber, and carbs less forgiving of varnish buildup.
