No, they didn't make them just slap their name on it and get rich from cheap chinese brand. Look this one up in Newegg made by rosewills with exact same design.
What generally happens is an american company contracts manufacturing to a Chinese company then the Chinese company having the factory line from that order, keeps cranking out additional units beyond what the contract called for and sells the surplus to someone else like Newegg, who makes up their own house brand, Rosewill, to resell it.
