This one (linked below) looks like it's better built, a bit shorter but more stout, and costs less. I have one mounted of one of my bikes and i think it's very good quality and design. The quick release is something that can end up failing over time so I'd rather go with the 4 Allen Head Bolt mount design:

You have to be careful adding stuff like this to your bike. Choose the wrong design and you end up making your bike look like a dorkcycle. Choose the right design and balance, and you end up pimp'in your ride...

For example, here's what Dave got for his bike (Nerd Alert):

    Don't be a Dave...

Attention swreynolds: Primates can recover some of their yearly membership costs by choosing Amazon jungle monkey shipping for this item...

I have something more like the following, except all black, a bit smaller and I forget the brand.

Well, I guess it's less nerdy than your first one but it's still awfully close to the dorkcycle range of things...

^ It holds my headlight battery pack, a shorty pump, tube, tube repair kit, phone, small tools, cable and lock, and more. It's worth it being able to see well at night, not having to push a bike for miles due to a flat, being able to communicate with the world, not leaving the bike unlocked somewhere, etc. etc.

It also conveniently holds your Hardy Boys book, the lunch money your M*om gave you this morning, and your collection of caterpillars in a bottle...

Pee-wee Herman mounted one of these to his bike. His schoolmates would steal his lunch money and beat him up.
