Intel is on most people's top 5 list of SSD makers. Samsung has probably been rated down after the 840 was released, but their recently displaced 830 series was great. I've had an 830 for about a year of constant use and so far, so good. If you want to minimize data-loss risk, Intel is probably worth paying a bit more.
Probably a dumb question since most SSDs now do...but does this one have TRIM support? I've checked 3 different retailers and none of them mention it.
Yeah, this is actually one of the better ones on the market. Bestbuy sells it for $299. Any SSD that is MLC and has a Sandisk driving is prime.
