Just one of numerous reasons I refuse to buy Apple products. Never have, never will. They may be obnoxious little twits @ Apple, but they're not dumb.
There is no such thing as a "3rd Generation" for the 8GB. It is still 2nd Generation, with the older chips inside.
I won't buy an iPod until they put a microSD card expansion on it. Easy to do I don't see why they don't.
