Any input on how dimensions is as a game? My kids went nuts over sky landers but as soon as the characters were upgraded they quit playing it, felt like a big waste of money.

From what I've seen in a few YouTube reviews (such as IGN's) it looks like a lot of fun - though like any of these expansion games (i.e. Skylanders, Infinity), it can become expensive. What I find appealing is the mashing of worlds - Sauran from Lord of the Rings wrecking havoc in Springfield (Simpsons), Batman being in Oz, etc. If your kids like the standard Lego video games as well as Skylanders, I don't see how you could miss with Dimensions.
Only buy this if you like the actual toys and are willing to spend $ on the property. Otherwise, get an older lego game; you'll find them cheaper and with more content
Bought this for the wife and if you dont buy EVERYTHING then you will be missing out on a lot of things to do. It gets frustrating as you go through levels and you have to buy another expansion set to do something. It is fun, like the other lego games but it should be a lot cheaper for how much you have to buy to play the whole thing.
I also wish the portal would be wireless rather than having to have a usb cord stretched across the room.
Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it as you see fit :)
