It's cheap, but stay away from any AMD E series processors. Not much better than a netbook.

Update: After seeing some other posts, some benchmark numbers will clear this up. Data is from:

      AMD E-2100 APU @ 1.0 GHz- 600
      AMD E2-2000 APU @ 1.75 GHz - 871
      Intel Celeron 1037U @ 1.8GHz - 1740

Spend the extra $12 and get almost 3x CPU power. The 1st two processors are even slower than something that came out in 2008. Take the T9300 (Core2 Duo @ 2.5GHz) for example. Its score is 1716. Of course, it was almost top of the line back then.

Get the Best Buy has the Toshiba C55-A5300 Celeron instead. This Lenovo model is slow.

The 1Ghz E1 2100 is fairly slow but the 1.8Ghz versions are worth it if they're in a laptop that is priced right (ie. $300 or less). They compare favorably with the newer Bay Trail Atom's. Arguably better since you don't have to run 32 bit Windows, they support full 64 bit Win8/7. iGPU performance is also somewhat better but none of these cheap low power APU's are really meant for gaming beyond flash and maybe some 8-10 yr old PC games.

edit: comparing very low power platform APU's to Intel's Core series will of course show Bay Trail based Atoms and Kabini based E1 APU's getting stomped big time. They're meant to offer "good enough" performance for very low prices in small form factors while still having good (ie. 8+ hours is common) battery time. Their competition is the cheap Android based laptops and tablets.

If you can find a new Intel Core i3 3xxx or 4xxx based laptop for similar or somewhat higher prices by all means buy it.
