That's the usual price for this configuration if you buy an Acer. Its like saying something is worth x and now it is on deal for x/2 when actually it is really worth x/2.
BTW I am typing this on Thinkpad SL510 and have 2 of these now. Pretty satisfied with them, nothing to brag about "great" quality etc like IBM fanboys. I also have owned 3 Acers during this time and never had any problem with those as well. So pretty much know both machine and their build quality.
wow....now i have to think which one i want to buy... this or the yoga...
My take is that this is a touch laptop that has the same hinge as the yoga.. basically, this has a whole lot bigger storage space.
Yoga is more tablet than laptop... with small ssd storage of around 32 gig? but that weight difference...!!
Win 8.1 64 bit is about 20gb. Whats the benefit of a 8gb SSD?
windows does not need to use all of the almost 20 GB to run. That 8 gig is basically used as a slower ram on top of the 2 GB ram... Loading all that memory on SSD will make a significant difference.

20GB is only a MS suggestion. Actual installation size is closer to 8.5GB, of which the system generally only "uses" about 2GB, or less if you pare back what windows runs but you don't need, and "uses" means allocated memory... the size of the OS files themselves that are actually loaded is significantly less than that.
