So does this run on Verizon? To answer my own question: No.

I went ahead and got two 32GB models. I hope T-Mobile turns out to be an acceptable service for me. If so I will drop my Verizon unlimited data plan. Just paying to much now.

Lol, no Verizon support. Poor guys.

I heard T-Mobile is a great option. Sprint has also made great strides over the years to improve their service, although their LTE coverage is lacking. I'd consider moving to either one of those underdog carriers if you really wanted a Nexus 5.

^ With T-Mobile, you'll have a far more limited coverage area - not to mention rotten customer service.

I have been with T-mobile since they were VoiceStream, about 14 years and have saved a fortune on cell service over the years. I have never had a billing problem in all that time, and I have always had friendly and helpful customer service. I ordered a pair of these phones based on the happiness of the Nexis 4 reviews I have read. Nice phone for the money, and along with T-Mobile, it should be a winning combo.

      Edit: Saturday
Just experienced some of that bad customer service trying to get new sim cards for my new Nexus 5 Phones. Customer service had me go to a T-Mobile store to pick up what were supposed to be free sim cards only to find out I was fed a line of crap and was charged full price. Notes to the store that were supposed to be added to my account were not, and the store told me they couldn't do that anyway. I drove 50 miles round trip to get the same thing I cold have gotten up the street if I hadn't been lied to. Will probably switch to Sprint now if TM doesn't credit me for what I had to pay today. Maybe I was just lucky up until now.

Why do you guys insist it's refurbished?

Wow, my order just shipped and tracking already says it left the facility. I should have on Saturday!!!

I have never needed customer service so that doesn't play to heavily on my decision. If the reception is half as good as Verizon in the few areas I need then I will be keeping T-Mobile. Either way I will be keeping my Verizon service along side of T-Mobile for a month to test it. If it doesn't work out at least I won't lose my grandfathered account and in 6 months I can buy another cripple down version of the Nexus on Verizon (Just like my Galaxy Nexus I have now)

No Verizon, none of the other carriers are in Nebraska except around a very few towns and the interstate (except by roaming on Verizon, Us Cellular, or a useless 1x GSM carrier). So it's completely useless everywhere I go. Unless it can be activated with 3g on Verizon with Pageplus, which I already use Pageplus anyway.

It is unfortunate to have a great phone with limited service. I'll wait for a version usable on Verizon. I have been on too many trips where my friends have no signal, and they ask to borrow my phone with 3 or 4 bars on Verizon.

Complain to Verizon, don't blame device makers for not supporting Verizon's closed wireless system. Why should device makers carry your old and outdated CDMA radio along with LTE. They should switch over to GSM/LTE like everybody in the world is using.

This already supports cdma, which is why it works on Sprint. I'm thinking since other Sprint phones can activate with Pageplus on Verizon, this might too.
