While I love Logitech and I feel that they have a great remote here, the problem is that it has no way to get feedback from the devices that it's controlling.
For example, if I have my hand covering the sensor, and I try to turn the TV off, the remote will think that the TV is off but it will still be on. You have to try and turn the TV back on again from the remote without messing other things up in order to turn it off. Or heaven forbid someone use the buttons on the TV, the remote will never figure itself back out after that.
The link between my Logitech Harmony remote (without LCD) and the Hub is RF so I don't know what darktideryezing is talking about.
Sometimes a device in a complex configuration fails to power on. I find pushing the button again re-issues the "power on" commands to all devices.
Install the app on iPad or iPhone and you can go to any device and re-issue commands. Even has a "fix" button which attempts to fix the situation. Need the iPad/iPhone or computer in any case to configure for specific sound system, TV, satellite, cable, etc.
