I certainly hope you get sprayed with fresh water and not water from the bowl.

Cannot be used by children under certain age; adults only unless children learn how to position themselves on the stool correctly. This also applies to adults. The cold water can initially produce an unexpected response. You may find yourself wiggling on the stool to get yourself washed and then need a tower to dry yourself. It doesn't replace a good shower to get yourself real clean but perhaps good for those whose religion may require cleansing before prayer. Minor plumbing is required and water certainly doesn't come from the bowl!

JediKnight: what an ignorant comment. A simple search would have yielded the answer. It's people like you that cause people to waste time going through stupid comments.

Zoroaster: what an ignorant comment. What does religion have to do with trying to keep yourself clean? Bidets have been used in France for ages and in many parts of Europe too. I have a similar model. I use significantly less gravity compost paper and my b_tt does not stink after taking dump, since all of the smear is washed off. Re wiggling your b_tt, I did this for awhile too, but then repositioned the spray to be even with the gravity compost seat instead of closer to the side of the gravity compost. After doing that, no more wiggling and a cleaner b_tt.

Sometimes the stream of water can be a bit too strong, you need to get used to it. Also, the hot water comes directly from the hot water of your nearby bathroom sink. The cold comes from the line that goes into the gravity compost - BEFORE IT GETS INTO THE gravity compost. Anyway, to not have an initial rush of cold water when you want it to be warm, just run the hot water on your sink till you feel it hot and then you will be good to go. I have hemorrhoids and this has been a lifesaver for me.

It's $35.95 now. It's a good product for those who know how to use it.

These technically aren't bidets, but are more accurately called 'washlets.' This model would be better than no washlet at all, but the expensive ($300-$400) models are SO much better. Those are the type used by most households in Japan. Those will heat the water on demand and have nozzles with adjustable water pressure and position. Some have heated seats and an air-drying feature. I found the air-drying to be a waste of money since you still have to finish with paper to make sure you don't need to do a repeat washing, which also drys you.

LOL... To be honest with you it is true that some religions (do not want to name one, just trying to be tolerant, a good American) do require that the faithful wash their b_tt before prayer. You may not know this but it is true. That aside, washlets are good once you get used to them. They have been used in France for over a hundred years. The expensive one are better as some mentioned here but this one will do. It all depends on your life style, etc. I still like taking a good shower than this but this is fine, too. Sorry LVWelkin for annoying you but what I said is true.
