Though the split point drill bits work well when new they don't resharpen well due to a thicker web than a standard drill bit.

And some uncommon sizes, too. This looks like a smaller version of the one I got at Costco last year, and it's a fine set. The bits are adequate for most tasks, and it's nice having enough to not worry about breaking a few of the small ones. The foam in the lid holds the bits in while it's horizontal and knocking around, but standing it up or flipping it over is likely to see a bit of migration. No worries, the slots in the bottom are made to length so they're easy to sort back.

Yeah at this price point and being Ti coated I'd just assume they aren't going to be resharpened.

I also grabbed something like this at Costco and they are really nice to have around. Break one here and there and no big deal because you have a ton of them.

SO this set sux...I own 3, bought 3 so I would have a ton of extra. You will need them.
I use once and throw in the trash.....still $20 is worth it.
nearly everyone I pull out is bent, they work well for one use, maybe two.....after that, junk.
    So you know.

^ Might depend on what you are drilling. I'd only use HQ cobalt bits on any metal plate harder than aluminum, but don't have much trouble with cheap bits if used in a drill press. I don't even bother using cheap, small diameter bits in a hand drill because they are so easily bent or snapped.

In other words this set is best for softer materials: Wood, plastic, etc. The split point also helps to make a hole with cleaner edges in these materials.
