I was working on my garage door 2 weeks ago and need 1/2" drill bit. Went to HD and saw this kit for $10 compare to Dewalt look exactly same @ $15....than there is Ridgid $30 but the bits look much better quality with a sticker say drill 40% faster. Bottom line all my tools are Milwaukee and they are great tools but these bit look cheap and probably not worth it.

^ Bits with a more aggressive edge are a mixed bag. They may cut soft material faster but are more prone to bind in harder material, make rougher holes, and the smaller diameter bits are more likely to break if used in a hand drill rather than a press.

The quality on these looks fine, generally a step up would be to go with titanium let alone cobalt bits instead of plain HSS.

On the other hand Dewalt bits do look a bit different, like they are a little higher quality: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/917YT5jOiKL._SL1500_.jpg
