good enough for a backup, but dont expect what you would get out of a $200+ gaming card.

(4250 better for w7 aero, 4350 better for everything else)

#1 – Not to quarrel over this, but I can't say it's worth working that $20 rebate as a test part for one's tool box. It being that double height heat-sink it will take up extra room in that tool box. Wink

I'd like it more if it was a 5450, it's not so much that the 4350 is old (though for AMD it is) I just think that it's not that merit-able of an asset for the effort? The 5450 was a 40Nm part and those had that little extra, but this is equipped with DDR3 not the reference DDR2, so not that big of difference other than power use.

But here's the hitch as I pointed to sometime ago, such concluding generation(s) of entry cards like 6450/520 are elevating back in price because AMD and Nvidia see their attractiveness as waning and won't invest in newer tech models. AMD wants APU's to take their place and Nvidia doesn't see enough OEM need when Intel has HD400 and so Nvidia is backing away. They'll both hold out selling such cards on old tech, and they'll be pricey.
