It got so cheap, I bought one for my aging netbook. Best upgrade I've ever done to any computer I've owned, ever. I no longer want a new computer!
Still not cheap enough. I don't really need one this big though, I just want one for the OS drive.
If you're going to be reading/writing compressed files (like video files), cut the speed specs for both read and write in half.
The only drive which doesn't do that is in the Samsung 830 series.

Rephrasing, the only DRIVES which don't do that are drives that use synchronous NAND, and ones that have properly coded firmware -- one of which is the Samsung 830 series.
And which other drives besides the Samsung 830 line handle compressed and uncompressed files at the same read/write rates?
