@Sharik - should work, my Dell I got from MS Store deal has a 32GB SSD used for cache, in addition to the 500GB SATA.

If you have harddive already then just get this SSD and use your HDD as 2nd hard drive. SSD will improve your computer performance and fast loading. My computer takes 12 seconds to boot.

This is a great deal for a 128GB msata. I installed a 250GB msata in my laptop a couple years ago and I think it was close to $300!!!

Be careful though, this is a newer form factor (m.2) and I'm pretty sure not compatible with my Lenovo Y580. Make sure your computer is able to use this!

This is not mSATA, it's the newer M.2 interface. This is a great upgrade for Acer C720 or Asus Chromebox.

Not unless you get a M.2 to SATA adapter. Last time I looked they ran about $20 delivered... maybe cheaper now on
eBay
direct from China.

Any ideas about the reliability of these things? That's my main concern with the SSDs...I think I'm sticking with better brands for now.

M.2 is not the same as mSATA is not the same as mPCIE.

ElCheapo is correct. mSATA and M.2 are similar but different.

Phison controllers are low-end, but this still would beat a regular HDD in just about anything.

If you can afford it, though, stick to Intel, Crucial and Samsung.
