used mine today. they work great for bratwurst... cooks the quickly and evenly. anyone who ever made them in a pan knows it takes forever. very good for chicken too.
Never used one of these, but am tempted. I remember watching the informercials, but never pulled the trigger. I know there are other brands such as Secura though.
$70 to cook with a light bulb? No thanks.
light bulb, actually is a convection oven and infrared combined. There is a fan that circulates the hot air so the food cook evenly. The infrared browns the food. cooks faster and more evenly.
It really is a great way to cook. It's faster than an oven and can even do a fair job of crisping foods. The problem with some brands (I don't know about this one) is that the bulb can burn out and replacements aren't always easy to find.
