We normally stay away from current events, but this one caught our attention quite literally since we're in SF. During lunch I tried to catch a glimpse of the torch along its planned route starting at AT&T Park, however much to my dismay the authorities whisked it away from the protesting throngs to a backup route. Some pics: 1 2 3 4 5 6.

"Free Tibet!" cried the Americans from their prisons.

    Ironic.

At least we Americans believe in basic human rights! Well, except for those goddammed man-on-man fairies! Uh, and the one in a hundred of us that are in prison! Oh, and the brown people. The brown people have to go.

The world would be a better place if "combat jack" were blown up by a roadside bomb.

SF pays 800 cops overtime to run the bate and switch with protesters all day, the US wraps its lips firmly around China's big rooster, and we're left wondering what the hell the point was.

The torch pranced around vacant blocks all afternoon to a crowd of news helicopters. I thought the whole point was for people to be able to be there when it came through on its tour.

They should have just burp cancelled it.

Away from all the confusing and backward-assed arguments of this and that, piling into tangents and topics not worth the bits that are used:

Some things are wrong and some right. We decide on them in humanity as approximations of each different culture's/society's norms, that can match into a whole. In the end, it's simple, some things are wrong, and some are right.

So, is what China doing right, or wrong?

#9, I am Chinses and I really don't like the way you talk. You just make yourself an uneducated jerk barking all around. So please behave yourself and act like human.

I don't even think of rolling tanks over those gangsters, I prefer flame thrower. Burn!

Sorry, who is uneducated? Screw China. So they have a billion people...990 million live in dirt huts, have 3 teeth, and are illiterate. The other 10 million drive slow on American highways.

And #12, the people of California revolted against Mexico expressely to BECOME part of the US. When China gives Tibet a chance to vote for becoming part of China (something the Dalai Lama wants anyway), then I'll give a flying fck about the Beijing Olympics.

I misread that as "the protesting thongs" and scanned through every picture Ben posted looking for women in thongs. I didn't see any. Now I am going to protest!

It might be time to update the "about" page. SF is a long way from New Zealand... (not to mention you still don't talk about or give any credit to your "employees".) There is more info about this site on other sites than on the "About" page.

    Just a thought.

I'd rike the #7, with a vegetable eggaroll prease... Sank you!!!

Oh, and by the way... 77% of people polled think China should get out of Tibet, but only 22% could find it on the map. Usually, the people who speak the loudest on a subject, know the least about it. Peace.

A recent poll found that 83% of china want america to come in and assume control of the country. However, I can't wait until president bush drops a nuclear bomb on that fuccking country. Yeah, biitches - hope you like to be conquered by the USA!

#57 I think you mean only 22% couldn't find it on the map. Tibet is very easy to find. Find China, and the west is Tibet. If you mean 22% couldn't find Nepal, I will believe it.
