We normally stay away from current events, but this one caught our attention quite literally since we're in SF. During lunch I tried to catch a glimpse of the torch along its planned route starting at AT&T Park, however much to my dismay the authorities whisked it away from the protesting throngs to a backup route. Some pics: 1 2 3 4 5 6.

There is no oil in Tibet. So don't worry about US sending troops to tibet. And those Chinese cyber cops, please keep out from this board, you stink.

#18, go to do some studies about Tibet (XiZhang) history. A good resource is Wikipedia where you can see stories from both sides. The XiZhang has been part of China from Yuan Dynasty, Qing Dynasty, Republic of China and now People's Republic of China. I bet you have never been to XiZhang before so suggest you go to visit XiZhang at least once and then tell us what you find. This graph in Wikipedia will make you better understand how China's territories changed over times.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Territories_of_Dynasties_in_China.gif

And China has 56 ethnic groups including Han, Hui (Muslim), Manchurian (Qing Dynasty), Mongolia (Yuan Dynasty) and Zhang (Tibetan). And minority ethnic groups usually enjoy better benefits than Han the majority ethnic group. For examples: "Population control policies like the one-child policy only apply to Han Chinese, not to minorities such as Tibetans". Not mention the Tibetans don't need to pay taxes, better education opportunities etc.

Usually, when a Han marries a Tibetan, they usually claim their sons or daughters to be Tibetans instead of Han in the birth certificate. Because by doing that, their family and children will have better benefits. I know you don't believe me, but that is why I suggest you visit Tibet by yourself and talk to the local people.

"room" go back to China and enjoy all the wonderful freedoms that the Communist party has temporarily given you.

As for the the rest of you helmets, I agreed with the decision to go to Iraq, I still agree with it. I'm proud of America and it's soldiers. America has done more in Iraq to make this world a better place than China has ever done in it's entire existence!

I laugh at these Chinese chowder stains trying to lecture us on free speech, freedom, American prisons, etc. The list goes on, they never mention their great triumph's like propping up North Korea, Vietnam, threatening Taiwan and of course Tibet.

Yes our prisons have people in them, mainly with bad people, but at least they aren't being forced to build products to support our export quotas like you Chinese bastards!

Finally, I'd vote for Bush for a third term over the three turds we have to choose from now. Remember the flying Tigers and how they saved your a*s*s you ungrateful poorly made Chinese tools. See you clowns on the moon! We'll be there waiting for you.

#4, get over yourself. Everyone is inherently selfish. If you're "concerned" about the Tibetans, it's because you feel good about yourself for being such a "good" person. It's still for your own benefit. And people who brag about being "generous" are again just making themselves feel good.

#112 What a burp rodeo cowboy you are. What are Koreans? Are they Chinese? What are Mongolians? Are they Chinese? Just because Shitna is strong and powerful doesn't mean that it can claim what can be Chinese.

I did a google based on what terminator wrote. Tibet was a powerful nation for centuries. They never call themselves Chinese. After they were conquored by Genghis Khan Tibetans still did not call themselves Chinese. The act of you Chinamen calling them Chinese is actually a form of rape.

Just remember as recent as few years back when China claimed that Koreans are also Chinese because there are Koreans living in China. Both North and South Korea protested and China had to back out of the claim. They can only rape people like Tibetans who cannot fight back.

#112 56 races? There aren't 56 races in the entire world, let alone Shina. What did they do in Shitna? Breed abnormal mutated animals using their poisonous food and water? You burp moron, you mean ethnic groups.

I see you know nothing about China's history.

it is an interesting fact that US government is constantly paying billions of dollars every year supporting democratic movements in countries where probably less than 10% of average US citizens can locate on the map. such a warmhearted nation! i love this country! viva USA!

    It's all true.

The loudest people in this forum, on this topic DO, in fact, sound like morons.

My last girlfriend was mainland Chinese, while I am Chinese myself. We had a LOT of historical 'discrepencies' to work out about Chinese history, such as what really happened in Tenement Square.

From that I deduced that control is a major part of government. The Chinese are a pretty smart, and disproportionately logical people. Put these two good things together and you have a naturally brutal and efficient, oppressive government. Go figure.

Bottom line, it IS a country that does not respect certain forms of civil humanity, as understood by the western world. My girlfriend painted a picture of China from the eyes of someone from Nanjing University, second in China as an institution. It was enlightening and disturbing at the same time for me to hear, as there was something fraudulent in either her or western accounts.

Lol, don't I sound like the loud moron now...
