I wished they upgrade the CPU at least to a Nvidia Terga 4. They're really just cheaping out unless they want to crunch out mobile knock off app games that just happen to be on the big screen instead of some decent console quality ones.

I got this a few months ago. Thought it would be neat. They force you to give a CC number. I found it clunky and it sits in a box now....

I find myself frustrated with what gets the "ben's best" seal of approval. I have bought things because of that and they were complete crap.
Things like this product; which have been reported several times to be junk, gets a bens best... come on...

I would highly recommend not buying this system until the price falls beneath what you can get for selling it as scrap.

I believe Bens Best has to do with pricing and how good the price is with regards to it's price history. I don't think Bens Best has to do with the quality or usefulness of a product. That's for you to figure out. They just post good deals and slap the label on when it's at a price point it's never been at before or something that is rarely seen. When I see a Gold Bens Best, I automatically go to eBay to see what the product is going for and to see if I can buy a bunch of them and sell them for a profit. Which I have done before using the Gold Bens Best.

It's almost impossible to know what is or is not "useful" to you. Sure, there is a general consensus on the quality of a product through things like product reviews, but what seems to be complete poo for one person may be really cool or useful for someone else. A product that has some malfunction for one person may work perfectly fine for someone else.

With that in mind, Ben's Best kind of has to be based on an objective piece of criteria - the price.

I just called a bunch of Target stores and they're all still at $100, where are you near to get these for $50?

Yeah this is the cheapest I've ever seen it. It's actually not that bad of a console IF it only came with a better controller. You can use a PS3 controller...but it's still pretty hokey to do it. If the controller was PS3 quality this would be well worth the money if for no other reason than the ability to play emulators on the big screen with a wireless controller.
