If the battery is just discharged but will still take a charge, and it's not very cold out, this should be able to pseudo-trickle charge the battery for a few minutes to build up enough charge to start the engine.
Otherwise, you're better off buying a ~ 20Ah SLA battery (approx $41 delivered) like you'd find in a $100 jump starter, jumper cables if you don't have any, and a ~ $15, 12V SLA trickle charger from Harbor Freight, , Sears, etc.

For example the following is one popular battery form factor often found in jump starters, but you'll need to add a couple T6 bolts to have something to clamp your jumper cables onto, and you'll probably want a plastic box to store it in:

... although, you can get a non-sealed lawn tractor battery with higher CCA for less, maybe $35 at Sam's Club/etc. IIRC.
