After you find out how it works, you will realize it's something you really don't need. Total waste of money.
Had one with the built in battery pack. Never used it. You have to buy a back for each device or use the USB cable and then put a thing on the mat that is hooked to the USB cable.
Great idea if you can find a back / case that works with your device but I think after the IPHONE 3 they did not make ones for IPHONE that don't block the data port so you have to take your case off to use a cable to PC.
What I am saying is great idea, not so great in the real world.
Yeah, usually I don't want to carry around extra bulk on a portable device just so I can recharge it without plugging a cable in... if the extra bulk were for a higher capacity battery so I was recharging less often it'd be a different matter.
Plus the irony is that I bet there are people out there that turn these off to save on the parasitic/vampire power drain, when choosing an induction charging system at all causes lower efficiency, higher power drain during use than a standard plug-in switching charger. On the other hand I'm talking about only pennies worth of power.
When manufactures don't make phones with removable batteries it pretty much put this company out of business unless you want to add a bulky cover to your phone.
I thought this thing used induction to charge your phone. No more wires, just set it on the mat and it charges it. Wrong!!! Each device you want to use with this mat needs a power cube or sleeve of some sort. So you still need to connect your device to something in order to charge it. Connecting it to the charger that came with your device seems like the same thing. Environmentalist and people alike should ban this product. Just another thing contributing to the trash heap.
