Some ppl will believe anything.. There is nothing legal pourable in the gas tank that will be strong 'nuf to do what this claims w/o harming something else in the system.

Fuel system cleaner is a legitimate product, but will only bring the benefits claimed if the system is varnished up enough to be outside of normal operational parameters, or "maybe" give you slightly more peak horsepower at full throttle depending on the type of fuel system the vehicle has.

The stabilizer feature is also potentially legitimate if fuel is stored for long periods, especially in only partially full cans or tank.

In other words, don't buy this to try to wring more performance out of a normally functioning engine. Buy it to combat fuel system buildup and/or decreasing shelf rot on stored gas.

A professional fuel system clean would require you to disconnect the fuel line and connect the fuel line to a pressurized fuel source cleaner. I wouldn't do this often otherwise you can damage sensors and you cats. I would also advise cleaning a fuel system when you are ready for an oil change since the chemicals in a fuel system cleaner will thin your oil. If you want to do it yourself SeaFoam is your best bet. In the engine oil & in your gas tank. Do this when you don't have much gas in your tank. Don't over rev your engine. Change the oil after you are done. Do this when you don't have a bunch of people around since if you do have a dirty engine you will blow a ton of smoke for many minutes. An extendable squeegee works well to hold the engine at a specific RPM.

    Amazon's price is $15.29, not $13
I guess still not a bad deal for about $6 (after the stamp for the rebate), but I've had great experiece with SeaFoam and it can be had on sale for about $6-$7 a can

Price is up to $15. 4-6 week wait for the 'sold by amazon' one, which may make it impossible to get the rebate.

^^^ This product is not intended to be put in the oil, only the fuel. It will not get into the oil from the fuel unless there is already severe piston ring damage, bad enough that there is no question that this product is pointless.

Personally I don't get into putting cleaners/flushes into the oil even if the product claims that is its purpose, but I suppose if you had a sticky lifter and no other option then you do what you have to but even then I'd probably only run the engine for a few minutes at a time at idle then mostly let it sit and soak before draining the oil... just a thought, I doubt I'd ever even do that.
